Sony has expanded its QSSR AI upscaling tech to the standard PlayStation 5. Until now, players needed the higher-end model to use it.
AI upscaling renders games at a lower internal resolution and reconstructs a sharper image, which can mean cleaner visuals and better frame rates in supported titles.
For the huge base PS5 install base, this is a free performance boost through a system update.
